Hong Kong City Hall, Central|HK Phil: Anja Bihlmaier Conducts Beethoven 5

Description
BEETHOVEN | Leonore Overture no. 3, op. 72
BEETHOVEN | Violin Concerto in D major, op. 61
BEETHOVEN | Symphony no. 5 in C minor, op. 67
German conductor Anja Bihlmaier makes a welcome return with an all-Beethoven programme. Praised by The Times for her “natural ease, musical rigour and feel for pacing and phrasing”, Bihlmaier joins forces with the brilliant Czech violinist Josef Špaček for a stirring concert. Known for his “fluent technique and expressive finesse,” the “coolly contained Špaček” (The Guardian) will make his HK Phil debut in Beethoven’s sublime Violin Concerto. The concert culminates in the world’s most famous symphony, Beethoven’s triumphant Fifth.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an intermission.
For ages 6 and above
